As Chief Revenue Officer, Stuart Schneider secures philanthropic support for NHSNYC’s work from key private sector partners and NeighborWorks™ America. Since 2012, Stuart has written over $7.5 million in successful proposals for NHSNYC to the nation’s largest financial institutions, community banks, and banks that operate in New York City.
During the past 16 years, Stuart has catalyzed significant organizational growth among non-profit organizations and social enterprises throughout the New York City metropolitan area. In total, he wrote proposals that resulted in more than $88 million in grants and contract commitments.
Between 2001 and 2011, Stuart secured funds for the nation’s largest worker-owned cooperative and a national non-profit organization based in the South Bronx that operated at the intersection of workforce development and healthcare. During this period, he participated in a multi-year Documenting Demand Side Outcomes project, which was funded by the Ford and Charles Stewart Mott Foundations. He also successfully nominated this worker-owned cooperative for an Excellence in Employee Ownership Award from the National Center for Employee Ownership.
Stuart graduated from Rutgers College with a B.A. in Economics and Urban Studies along with a certificate in public policy from the Eagleton Institute.
