Donald Prusock is an attorney with an extensive background in community development in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. He joined NHSNYC as Chief Administrative Officer at the start of 2017, following several years as the Director of Human Resources for Stellar Management, a real estate development and management company.
Mr. Prusock began his career as a senior staff attorney with the City of New York’s Department of Housing Preservation and Development working on the Participation Loan Program and Vacant Building Program. He then moved on to the Community Preservation Corporation, a nonprofit lending institution that finances affordable housing, where he served as Assistant Director of Closings and Assistant General Counsel. After moving to the Albany area, Mr. Prusock joined Fleet Bank’s Community Development Department as Assistant Vice President and Community Development Manager. Fleet Bank is now part of Bank of America. While working for Fleet, he returned to New York City and was named Vice President and Corporate Manager for Regulatory Affairs. In this capacity, he supervised CRA regulatory compliance for the corporation and created community development training material for bank personnel. He has also worked as a community development consultant and as a history teacher in a high school and middle school in the Bronx.
Mr. Prusock is a graduate of Boston University School of Law and Brooklyn College and received a teaching certification from Manhattanville College. He has served on the board of directors for Neighbors Helping Neighbors in Brooklyn and the Albany Housing Coalition.
