Susan M. Ifill is the Chief Executive Officer for Neighborhood Housing Services of New York City Inc. (NHSNYC); she continues to hold the role of Chief Operating & Financial Officer, and has been with NHSNYC since 2010. Susan's responsibilities include Resource Development, Lending Services & Operations, Research and Planning, Counseling Programs, Government Relations, Legal, Accounting and IT. Prior to joining NHSNYC, Susan served as Interim Finance Manager for Women's Environment and Development Organization (WEDO).
Prior to entering the Not For Profit world, Susan was the Senior Vice President and Chief Retail Officer for Carver Federal Savings Bank in New York, and before Carver, SVP and Premier Banking Market Manager at Bank of America. In her last role at Bank of America, she led a group of Client Managers in the Premier Banking & Investment Division, responsible for the growth of a $3 billion portfolio and new client acquisition for Hudson & Essex County in New Jersey; after 30 years of service, Susan retired from banking.
Susan has served on numerous Not For Profit boards over the years. She currently serves as the Chair of the Board of Trustees for Cambridge College in Boston. She also volunteers as a judge for the National Junior League's Annual Leadership & Vision Award, and leads the session on board governance for the New York Junior League Board Training Program.
Susan did her undergraduate work at UMass Dartmouth. She received her Master of Management and certification in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution from Cambridge College; she is also a certified Six Sigma Green Belt.
