The application deadline for the 50 one-bedroom co-ops at 320 Sterling Street was February 13th.  A lottery process will be conducted thereafter and applications received will be coded and tallied and the respective applicants contacted.  We still, however, encourage new applications. Applications received after February 13th will be answered in the order received. Preferences will be given to residents of Community Board 9 to fill half of the 50 available units. With subsidy, qualified buyers can purchase an apartment for $90,000. The rental to co-op conversion is expected to be completed in the summer of 2010.  The 106 unit building is located between Nostrand and New York Aves.    The project is sponsored by the Urban Homestead Assistance Board (UHAB) – Sterling St. Housing Development Fund Corporation and the NYC Partnership Housing Development Fund Company, Inc. NHS of East Flatbush acts as a marketer in the project. For more info. and for an application, click here. Details on an informational seminar will be posted soon.
