Homebuyer Education

Neighborhood Housing Services (NHS) is a not-for-profit housing organization helping New Yorkers since 1982. NHS's educational programs are an integral part of our approach to fulfilling our mission. Education is critical to the success of new homeowners and existing owners in need of repairs to their homes. NHS will work with you to help you fulfill the dream of home ownership. Whether you are curious about owning your own home, getting ready to shop for a home, becoming a landlord or even closing on your home next week, NHS can help you! Click here for class schedules and registration information.

Free Home Buyer Seminars

The first step in the home buying process is to enroll in our free Home Buyers’ Seminars. They are designed to inform you about NHS’ services, and to help you answer the question, “Am I ready to buy a home?” The seminars provide an overview of the home buying process, preparing you for home ownership.
