Home Buyer Seminars
The first step in the
home buying process is to enroll in our
free Home Buyers’ Seminars. They are
designed to inform you about NHS’
services, and to help you answer the
question, “Am I ready to buy a home?”

Home Buyers’ Clubs
For those who have
completed a Home Buyer Seminar and
learned that they are not yet ready to
buy a home, the next step on the road to
home ownership is an NHS Home Buyers’
Club. A Club consists of a group of
families who meet for five two-hour
sessions, covering the following topics:

Finances

One-on-One
Counseling
After graduating from
an NHS Home Buyers’ Club, you can work
with our homeownership counselors to
help you get a mortgage. The
homeownership counselor will work with
you to:

Analyze what type
of home you can afford

Select and work
with a realtor
-
Help you find a
mortgage product that best fits your
needs.
Landlord Training
This is a two-hour
course for those who are purchasing or
have purchased a two-four family home.

Fast Track
This is a one-day
course for first-time homebuyers who
require homebuyer training prior to
closing on their home loan. Classes are
held once a month.
